Problem with mobile phone company what can i do? A mobile phone company sent me a bill of a contract phone without discussing that contract with me or even discussing the price plan with me and wreorst of all not even sendind me a phone.I refused to pay the bill after contacting them. They explained they ASSUMED i will like it because they had contacted me on phone to discuss the contract and unfortunately i was busy and promised to contact them and i did not.I think that it is the customer who should decide on a price plan or whether he/she wants the contract. My problem is that i have been taken to a debt collector and i was threatened by them to idea pay it or have a bad credit history.I paid immediately and yet still they went ahead and took the decision to give me a bad credit rating. What should i do?
Can you disable the camera on a mobile phone? I want to get a new mobile phone but the choices are very limited on those that do not have a camera. Is there any way at all to disable the camera on any of the mobile phones out there that do have one? My job does not allow an employee to bring a camera on the premises, although you can bring your mobile phone. Thanks! Rockingorangejuice, As I mentioned in my question, the choices are very limited with my carrier and I DON'T like the 3 that they do have. I would prefer to get a LG Chocolate or Motorola Krazr. Thanks BobW. I was afraid that'd be the case..... Thanks ZiggyZeox! That sounds promising. I'll check into it!
Where to get a good Nokia mobile phone at good price in Hyderabad? I am interested for a Nokia mobile phone. Can someone please let me know a good model one which would have the following features: storing and playing music and video, long battery life, 2-3 mega pixel camera, expandable memory, etc. My budget is around Rs.7500/-. Also, from where at Hyderabad, I will be getting the same at good bargain price.
How can i stop a mobile phone interfering with my speakers? My new neighbours leave their mobile phone just behind the wall where my computer lives. Each time the phone searches for a signal (which is all the time as we have bad reception in our building) the transmission blips (you know - dit dit dit over and over) are picked up on my computer speakers. I've tried talking to my neighbours to little effect, so other than rearranging my apartment I need a solution as this is beginning to drive me mad. Is there an electronic solution to either block the signals coming through the wall or to prevent them registering on my computer speakers. Thanks for any help...
How do I activate an unlocked mobile phone? I have already have a wireless plan with cingular. I want to get a new phone, but don't want to pay the exorborant fees that they charge for them. I've found that I can get unlocked phones for much better prices online, but I'm not sure how to get the new phone set up. To activate an unlocked mobile phone, do I just put my SIM card into the new phone? Or is there something else that I have to do?
A mobile phone for the elderly and hard of hearing? My father is in his early seventies with hearing problems and his current mobile doesn't suit him. He can't hear the ringtone, and even when he CAN and answers the phone, he can rarely hear the person on the other end. I want a Pay As You Go phone with basic functions (not fussed about camera etc.), a LOUD ringtone, loud speaker volume, vibration, not too small and is easy to use. I've read up about Communic8's Life phone, but at £170 it's a bit too expensive - my father would never use it as he'd be scared of losing it! Can anyone recommend something?
Which mobile phone make can I upload my own ring tones to? I want to upload music tracks off my PC to my mobile phone, to use as ring tones. I used to have a Motorola, and even though I didn't like it for texting, it was good to use for ring tones. Now have a Nokia on 3, love the phone, but can't seem to upload mp3s. Any ideas on how to do it, or is there another phone make that lets you do this?
Using a mobile phone whilst driving a car is illegal and dangerous. Are your human rights infringed? If you feel that you are being denied a right in some way please give details. Alternatively justify the use of a mobile phone when driving a car. Should devices be fitted compulsorily to cars to make it impossible to use mobile phones by jammimg the microwave transmission and reception? It might surprise a lot of you that there are trials ongoing with cars fitted with jamming devices that will make it impossible to receive or transmit mobile phone messages as long as the engine is running. This will make the present law irrevalant.
How do I clean a sticky mobile phone keyboard? I incidentally dropped a glass of a sweet soft drink and it spilled over my mobile phone. From then on its keyboard is kind of sticky - it works, but I sometimes have to hit the buttons hard. Does anyone have an idea of how to clean it?
here is how to disable a stolen mobile phone? to check your mobile phones serial number. key in the following digits on your phone *#06# afifteen digit code will appear on the screen. this number is unique to your phone/handset write it down and keep it safe. when your phone gets stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. they can then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone wll be totally useless. you probably wont get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it cant use/sell it either. if everybody done this, there would be no pointin people stealing mobile phones
Is it possible to call a mobile phone that is physically next to me, without knowing the number of that phone? Chris Moyles and the breakfast team at BBC Radio 1 were giving hints and tips about using mobile phone text messaging, like the use of 'next word' and 'previous word' when using the phone dictionary (bottom left/top right keys), and pressing and holding the square key (bottom right) for typing numbers and pressing and holding the star key (bottom left) for punctuation. Also, they mentioned that pressing and holding the 1 key will access your answerphone, if you have the number in the phone. Dom, the newsreader, mentioned a function called something like Next Caller Dialling. He said that if you dial something like #0123* (hash 0123 star) then your mobile phone would search outwards for handsets that were close by. WELL useful if someone has forgotten their number. Is this possible?
My bosses expect me to use my personal mobile phone for business? I've started a temping booking (as a medical secretary) in a private hospital working for 3 doctors. They want me to use my personal mobile phone so they can text me with queries, etc and for me to text them back. The thing is, I've been offered no money for these calls/texts I have to make to them. Are they taking advantage of me and is this legal in the workplace for me to do this on my personal phone? I don't know why they just can't contact me on the office phone or by email. I wouldn't dare give anyone my phone number, let alone let anyone use it for work.
How does Skype on a mobile phone work? I'm looking into buying a mobile phone as I have recently moved back to live in the UK after being in France for 2 years. I would like to be able to call my French friends on their landlines and mobiles. I have noticed that '3 mobile' offer free Skype in their phones. How does this work? Is it easy to use?
How can I make a phone call from my mobile phone through gprs to another cell phone? I have nokia 6600 with gprs connection which connects my laptop to the internet through the bluetooth. What Internet-enabled multimedia mobile phone would you recommend? I am looking to buy an Internet-enabled multimedia mobile phone, such as an iPhone 3G but I want to hear other people's opinion. Is the iPhone 3G a very good choice? Or is there something better I can buy that has similar functions? I was looking for something with multi-touch and preferably not much more expensive than the iPhone itself. What do you suggest?
How much credit history do I need to get a mobile phone on contract? Hi I am trying to get a mobile phone on contract. How to call a Japanese mobile phone from the US or Europe? When dialing a land-line phone in Japan from outside the country normally the pattern is to dial the country code (+81) and then remove the first zero from the area code. For example, to call Osaka from the US you would dial this: 011-81-6-xxxx-xxxx The area code for Osaka is 06. Tokyo is 03. When calling from overseas you would strip the first zero. My question is whether this same pattern applies to calling mobile phones or IP phones that don't have area codes, but use the prefix 0x0: Ex. 090, 080, 070, 050 If my mobile phone number in Japan was 090-xxx-xxxx which pattern would be correct when explaining how to call from outside Japan: A. (Country Code) +81 090-xxxx-xxxx B. (Country Code) +81 90-xxxx-xxxx For international calls do you strip the first zero with mobile phones in Japan or not?
What is the cheapest way to phone South Africa with a mobile phone? I phone South Africa from the UK regularly. I'm currently using Telediscount with my mobile phone and call charges work out at about 12p per minute (Telediscount charge 4p per minute and Orange charge me another 8p on top of that). Is there a cheaper way of phoning? I don't have the use of a land-line. I have a monthly contract with Orange.
What websites can I go to download free things to my mobile phone? It's boring and I am looking for free things to download to my mobile phone.
